Description

Davide Viaggi is Full Professor in Agricultural Economics and Rural Appraisal. Working since almost 35 years in the field, with research interests focused on bioeconomy, agricultural policy, innovation and education, economics of water use in agriculture, environmental evaluation, economics of agri-environmental schemes, farm management. He coordinated five EU projects (CAP-IRE and CLAIM of FP7, PROVIDE and CONSOLE in H2020, BIOBEC in BBI) and participated in other 30 funded by the European Commission framework programs and about 70 funded by other institutions. Davide has 173 publications indexed in Scopus Davide was editor-in-chief of the journal “Bio-based and applied economics”, published in 2018 the book “The Bioeconomy. Delivering sustainable green growth”, CABI, UK and was recently editor of the “Handbook on the Bioeconomy”, Edward Elgar, UK. He was a consultant of the European Commission and is now part of the Coordination Group of the European Bioeconomy University.
