Description

Sylvain PELLERIN is senior scientist at the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE) in France. His scientific skills are on biogeochemical cycles of carbon and nutrients in agro-ecosystems, soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture. He has published 115 peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals (h-index 42). He has coordinated the national expertise “Storing 4 per 1000 carbon in soils: the potential in France”. He was deputy head of the INRAE AgroEcoSystem scientific division from 2021 to 2024 (45 research units, 700 permanent staff) and is currently deputy head of the interdisciplinary CLIMAE metaprogramme (Agriculture and forestry in the face of climate change: adaptation and mitigation)
