Description
Dr Tiphaine Chevallier investigates the dynamics of soil organic matter with land use changes and climate change. Her objectives are to understand the major mechanisms of organic carbon sequestration in soils. She utilizes both the natural variability of soil properties and experimental manipulations to estimate the vulnerability of soil carbon to global changes. Her studies are particularly focused on tropical soils and recently on calcareous soils. Moreover, she is well involved in the dissemination of scientific work to non-academic audiences.
